It is a normally closed switch, calibrated to open at a very low temperature. Unlike most standard temperature switches which close at much higher temperature, like those for cooling fan relays.

Well,

i found some options - VDO is pricey, as usual, but OHD is promising - isnt it?

VDO
OHD

I will keep digging.
No they don't look compatible. Where is Estonia?
Estonia
Country in Europe

Description
Description
Estonia, a country in Northern Europe, borders the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Finland. Including more than 1,500 islands, its diverse terrain spans rocky beaches, old-growth forest and many lakes. Formerly part of the Soviet Union, it's dotted with castles, churches and hilltop fortresses. The capital, Tallinn, is known for its preserved Old Town, museums and the 314m-high Tallinn TV Tower, which has an observation deck. Do they get mail from the US?

Rock Auto has one for about $63. With shipping and import fees I can have it in Europe for $92 (€74). Still a bit expensive for a switch I guess, but way cheaper then Oregon Fuel Injection. Would be interesting to see alternatives. Preferably with the same thread?

Rick, do you use Oregon Fuel Injection services often? Any idea if their rebuild injection pumps are any good?

I am a Rick so I will reply. I never done a business with Oregon Fuel Injection. I have no opinion. I am on the east coast and they are on the west coast. I had a local business that rebuilt all my injection pumps in the early years. After 2010 they went out of business. Since I have been using Diesel Care in Memphis. I know people all have opinions. I have had many injection pumps rebuilt there and really little or no issues that I could not resolve with nothing more then a phone call. I had Kumatsu , Kubota , Yanmar, and many other Ford and GM rotary pumps rebuilt there. Hard to beat the service when they email a pick up ticket and return the same pump back in a week or 2. A few I had to adjust the timing to get to run correctly. But that stands to reason because of the age nd mileage of the vehicles I am working on. These CUCV's are not demo's anymore. Take Care and enjoy the weekend.

Is the plug
At ne time I had a dozen new ones and gave them out not knowing they were expensive. I have a few used ones and will hang onto them for now. But they did have an inexpensive one I listed in the past. It was a Standard brand name I believe. I will look.

Does anyone have a link
This is NOT the same as the passengers side rear of the head.
This is the correct switch for the passengers side rear of the head. This controls the fast idle/advance solenoid at cold start.

I hope that helps you. Good Luck. This is an expensive switch. Make sure you need it and it is not just a loose or melted pigtail. I seen a few that had bad loose connections at this point. They will blow the 20 amp engine control fuse if this switch is shorted.
I am looking for the plug/pigtail for this two prong sensor. Any part numbers and/or links?

Nope.

You don't have an 85. You have an 84. The Army didn't want the hassle of dealing with model year changes in their supply chain, so they required them all to be built to 84 specs. When you need parts, you want 1984 parts, no matter if your truck was built in 84, 85, or 86.

I might have known that - I just got it registered as an ‘84..

I took it directly from the glow plug sensor, one end of the cable to the sensor in the middle of the switch and the other end from the chassis, solutions jjjjjj
