CUCV noise, Blazer vs PU

I have a question,
I 'm a first time owner of a M1009 blazer, owned it a few months, just bought a M1008 PU.
Seems like the blazer is a lot louder that the pu, does anyone agree. Engine seems louder in the blazer, both trucks have no floor mats.

Well, in the blazer, you are driving around in a big tin can...





Its possible the engine timing is advanced more on the blazer.

You said it right, even the floor sheet metal does not seem as solid, the PU had zero rust on it.

Can't imagine anything being louder than Big Ugly...especially with the low gears keeping the engine spinning fast.

Forgot who it was that put some sort of intake on his 1009 and plumbed it into the pass side inner fender but they said the motor was a little quieter. I just did my damnedest to line up my new power steering pump in better alignment w/ the belt and that quieted my noise quotient a tad. Spray the floor down with a bedliner and that will change the acoustic principles of the cab as well.
