I am helping my father-in-law with his M1009, we ordered a GP module from cucvelectric.com, after reading positive reviews here on steelsoldiers.

It's been 3 weeks since the order, no return phonecall, all calls go straight to voicemail, and no return email. I know the owner is a member here on the forum, was just hoping to contact him in some way to get this straightened out, at least getting some sort of acknowledgment would be nice.

If anyone knows of any issues going on with cucvelectric.com, let me know. Otherwise, here is to hoping the owner or somebody who knows him reads this!

Good products, nice guy ( owner), poor shipping and customer service in my experience. Every order I've placed has had some problem with delivery. John made it right every time, but I wish as a buyer I did not have to call every time and ask where is my order? I read a lot of posts on this forum of people with similar issues. John provides great parts for us that are otherwise hard to get.

You have to remember that this is not his main business. He is just supplying a service.Try sourcing the parts your self. Not an easy task.

He has always been very helpful with my transactions? Try email next time.
Agreed. Any issues I've had were fixed ASAP.

These are just my thoughts regarding the service John provides. Not intended to criticize anyone's perspective, just sharing mine for whatever it's worth:

I can't begin to imagine the amount of time I would have had to invest to find sources for all the correct parts. Let alone the development work John has done on the GP card. More than makes up for any aggravation IRT issues with orders IMHO.

Before I knew about John's service, I was trying to piece the correct parts together. From my research I don't think the margin he is getting is very much for each order. Not sure how much of an investment he has in inventory and the like, but can imagine he had to lay out a few scheckles to get this venture running.

Livinzlife, I am very glad you got your parts. Did the truck get started? Any pics or vids? How was your experience at getting the truck running? We all can benefit from your experience. It would be great if you updated the "what have you done lately" thread.

Just another thought, in order to avoid shipping delays in the future when you "need" that part, you may want to consider ordering some spares in case issues arise in the future. That is what I am doing, as funds allow.

The happiest of new years to everyone!

I also placed an order with cucvelectric on the 27th of december and still waiting. The website states 2-6 business days, and I know new years has probablyay made it a day or two late. Just wanted to know if anybody knew of any issues going on with cucvelectric.com or if anybody could possibly contact john or knows him. No return phonecall, all calls go to voicemail, and no return email, I have emailed cucvelectric three times. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My calendar shows 5 or 6 business days, depending on what time you placed your order.

Does it state it will arrive in that time frame or be processed in that time frame?

You need to allow for shipping time as well, right?

I just don't understand why people have no patience.

I do understand frustration when you can't get in contact though.

Hey my name is Cody Englemann and I would like to ask if ANYONE could contact JOHN the owner at cucvelectric.com for me in reference to an order I placed December 27th. On the website it states their backed up and current shipping time as of Jan 7th 2013 is 4 days. I believe almost three weeks is plenty of time. Well I have not recieved the parts I have ordered from him on the 27th. I've tried emailing him and calling but, no reply. I greatly appreciate your help. Any reply concerning this matter is greatly appreciated! If anyone knows john please contact me @ cody_2@ymail.com

Hi Cody, welcome to the site.

My understanding is that John started his "business" more as a service to the rest of us MV nuts than as a money making venture. He runs it in his spare time, and I'm guessing he has put considerable personal capital into it to get it started. I understand your frustration, but get the sense he is just overwhelmed. I would advise polite persistence and patience. I agree that return communication is very important and leaves the customer bewildered at best.

Here is John's request for patience.

January 4th, 2013 Due to the incredible order levels this season, there is a delay in shipping.

For the last few weeks, orders have been steadily increasing, far more than what we have anticipated. We are doing our best to catch this up. Please be patient with us. As of today we are still working on orders from more than a week ago. This has never happened before.

We are now shipping every weekday, and working well into the night, and have taken other measures to increase our speed. We anticipate that we can be caught within the next few days or so.

We promise all orders will be fulfilled, just give us a little time.

Thank you so much for your patients on this.

There are other sources for most of the parts John offers. But, you will have to chase them down yourself, which is the real value add John brings. I guess you can always cancel the order if you aren't satisfied.

I hope this helps, and again, welcome to the green iron addiction!

Don't do that.

Well, if you like spam, go ahead, you are doing the right thing.

If you don't like spam, never post your email address on a public forum like that. There are computer programs (called spambots) that crawl the Internet looking for email addresses. These get added to some spammers list, and sold to other spammers. Then you get spam, spam, spam, spam, spam......

You get the idea.

HI everybody Just my opinion I would do your research on this website before you place a order. I placed an order on 12/27/2012 and its 01/21/2013 and I still have not received it in the mail. So i just cancelled my purchase through PayPal. But I would not recommend anybody to order parts form cucvelectric.com, just my opinion. I've called the owner numerous times, no response and have also emailed both of the email addresses he provides on the wedpage. And I have heard that this is a side business. I just think it's funny how you can update your website change products and add new products on said website, BUT you cant provide your customers with answers when they have not received the purchase in a timely manner. And FYI: one of the parts I purchased was a Glow Plug Controller module....... Now its Temporarily out of stock....FML..Hope this helps.
