So I’m about to be stationed in Japan, and for those unfamiliar with their electric grid, they use 100V 50Hz power.
Now I consider myself above average when it comes to understanding electricity and electronics. I know that most modern electronics with wall wort transformers or built-in transformers can utilize a variety of voltages and frequencies.
However there are some things in my house that I am unsure of.
I was thinking of using my 802 and dial down the voltage and frequency to closely simulate Japans electricity. I would then plug different things into the generator one at a time and see how they work.
I understand the risk of smoke checking some of the things I plug in, but will I cause any damage to my generator?
