Dash Light Question

I have four of the red lights on the dash of my 813 and two were painted green.

One is for the Brake Switch
the other is for air pressure.

The 2 others light up when I put the lights on but were painted over the red lens.. Is this normal? seems like it would be easier to read the guages if they were lit..

Does anyone have pics of their dash?

If you look closly yo will see that the painted over ones have a metal cover on them. Those are for illuminating the gauges. The light only transmits through the part above the threads andinto the openings in the gauge housings. With the lenses screwed in, you can mark the faces and drill small holes in the lens to make white light illuminate the panel.
