Decently-priced source for MEP-003 throttle ball joint

Today, I went to exercise my MEP-003 genset, and it wouldn't start. Found that the plastic around the ball joint attached to the injector pump throttle arm snapped. My MEP-016B has also failed to the same failure. (among other failures I have yet to fix) Looking at the 24P, the part number is 150-1358. (NSN 2910-00-829-5701) From what I'm seeing, it's no longer made. It looks like Onan swapped that number to be a metal part, which is cool. Trouble is, it looks like the cheapest I can find it is close to $40 each plus tax and shipping...

Should I just get over the sticker shock and open my wallet, or does anyone know of a less expensive source for those ball joints where I can get it?

Do you know the thread size(s)? (I'd assume both the same, but...)

Taking a guess it's 1/4", Snapper # 7015753 is 1/4-28, and widely available online for cheap. If you wanted one now you could probably walk into most small engine dealers, they're commonly used on zero turn mowers for control linkages & such.

Unfortunately, 1/4-28 is too big. I don't want to pull the currently jury-rigged joint off of the MEP-003, but eyeballing it, it looks to be identical to the one my on 016B. (despite having a different part number) Assuming that's true, it appears to be 10-32 threads. I just ordered a couple off of Amazon. Hopefully it fits and works. We'll see on Thursday.
