If the truck you're looking at is labeled unkown make and year, where are the plates that have the info.? Kaiser Jeep Corp., General Products Division, AM General, how do you tell them apart? I see difference in pictures and years, but the most simple thing between each is what I'm trying to understand. I hope this isn't asking too much. Thanks, John

It will be on the data plate on the dashboard, near the top on the pass. side.
Ill return in a min with a pic of what mine looks like.


Here it is. It wont tell you the year, you'll have to get the numbers and take them to the 2010 vin info thread.

If you can find some of that info, post it, and Carnac might be able to help. The serial number ought to be on the frame. The registration number is often painted inside, its painted on my dash and doors.

The data plates are often not original.
