Deuce Oil Levels 101

For anyone that has ever wondered what your oil level is in relationship with the pil pump and pickup tube, look no further.

I had to pull the pan for an inspection of an oil flow problem and thought I might share some pics.

The first pic show the bottom of the pickup tube is slightly more than 1/2in below the bottom on the dipstick.

The third pic shows that FULL is in the middle of the pump.

The forth pic shows that at the 4qt mark is at the bootom of the pump.

Since the pump needs some oil to help it self prime, I wouldn't let it get below the bottom of the pump.

Cool, I just had the oil changed and they over filled it by 3 qts, Lucky for me the engine has a oil release valve on the oil cooler it so I was able to drain the oil out.
