Were these units, an euc item? Maybe you should consider getting them, before you accept payment? Just some thoughts...

For those of us that missed the auction, how about some photos and info on the kits before the checks get sent? Or maybe I just overlooked that post....

I'm with you on that one, how can you take a guys money when you don't have the items. Sometimes things don't come through like they should. Name and phone numbers are one thing. Oh and yes there is an EUC on these, because I bought 3 lots of them. At least wait until they are loaded on the truck and not in the hands of someone else.:-D

I have yet to read all the replies so i am sure someone hit this already, but why make the M35A2 more complex? It was made to be an easy to repair rig, something a little JB weld and some duct tape could keep running:-D

Personally I could not see spending the money on the air assist, it is already priced 700 more then I paid for the deuce:roll:

I checked this afternoon, V V A 920 still has some power steering units not spoken for today. I bought two. I doubt you will see pricing like this again.

The units are being picked up at Ft. Sill today.

So is there a way to make these things have power steering of some variety wihtout fabbing up your own system entirely? or is air assist the only viable option?

For all you cheapscates out there. The Air-O-Matic is worth every penny. Espcially for those who are older, hava a disbility or do not like getting the steering wheel whipped out of their hand after striking a rock or stump. Takes all of about 4 hr to install. So quit whinning.

After you have one its hard to go back to a stock truck. They are a big plus, heck I put one on a parts truck just for a weekend bash at the Haspin rally last june, then took it off when I parted the truck out. It makes life so much eaiser. You can drive the truck in town with one hand and take a drink of your big gulp while going aroung a corner, try that with a stock truck. Spend the money on them if you can. If you can't don't bash them and run them down just because you don't have one. I can tell you this every customer I have who comes to my place to drive a stock truck, gets into one with the air assist and they are sold on it. Turn the air pressure up on them or do away with the regulator and the work great and sound cool also. I am not try to sell anything here just laying down what I think.

I just got my second deuce yesterday. It has factory air assist steering. If you've never driven a deuce with air assist, you should try it. After this, I would buy an air assist kit without hesitation to bolt onto another truck.

Is it more complex than a stripped down, manual steered truck? Sure - but it's also a much nicer vehicle to drive on a long trip. It's a lot nicer on a short trip, too! I'm not so worried about the air assist steering parts in the exposed position down on the axel because I'm not someone that's intending to wail the tar out of the truck off-road. If your going to do that, you might think twice - or at least look at one that's got it installed and judge for yourself.
