RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Deuce Tire Breakdown Assistance

VICTORY IS MINE! I was very successful at my task this morning and having a fresh start really helped me think. I tried both ways before the light came on in my head. What I did was simply move the wheel out of the tire a few inches and push the valvestem through the wheel. As soon as I did that the wheel literally fell right out. I'll let everyone know if it was a fluke when I tackle the next one. 2 down, 7 to go!

I found on my local Farm and Tractor equip. store a product only to lubricate the tires for removal and assembly that works great, it does not ran down like spraying soap/water, it comes in a bucket and looks and feels like grease but is some inert soap stuff. I would not use any kind of petroleum based oil like WD40 or else for the new tires as it will attack the rubber.

breakdown

From 1954 with a help from Joe Dope and Connie. Wayne

BTW The only way I could get the .pdf to open was right click and then "Save target as" Does anyone else have this problem?

RE: breakdown

Interresting- Any other military reference I've seen (which certainly isn't all of them) says not to lube the lug nuts. This one says to oil them. I wonder if this Is this a specific vehicle, or was there an update at some point?
