I am looking to install a CB in my M45, which has a van box that goes over the cab. Does anyone know where the military would have mounted antennas on this truck? I do not see any existing mounts. They cannot bolt to the back of the cab because of the overhang.
I have read so much on CB antenna locations, ground planes, etc, that I am dizzy. The van is aluminum skin, and I do not know if that works well as a ground plane. Also, I do drive this truck off road, and when the truck is 10.5-11 ft tall already, ALL tree branches are low hanging; so minimizing damage also has to be taken into consideration.
