Did the Bundeswehr ever use the M35a2? I saw a video of some Bundeswehr solders firing a MG3/42 out of the bed. I know the German army used some of our stuff. I would like more information.

It was common for NATO troops to qualify with the weapons of other armies.

I fired Expert with German weapons and proudly wore the medal on my Class A uniform until I retired.

It was possible that that was what the picture showed.

Yes, they did. In use where some early variants like the M35A1. A large number of M543A2 wreckers are used with missile units. The major part of the US vehicles are used at the first years of the Bundeswehr. The missile units use them until they are disbanded.
