If you are going for bang for your buck I would really go for a cummins over the duramax, just throwing it out there but id sure like to see a 8.2 detroit swap into it

I'm not set on any motor but i would rather put a D-max in my chevy then a cummins.

An M1008 is a CUCV, basic 3/4-1 ton pick-up truck. If you fins a way to shoe horn a DT-466 into one of these, please post pics.

I think the DT466 would be a reliable swap we have multiple vehicles running them on our farm and never have troubles with them they are a good motor
