Differential oil pressure gauge

Installed the differential oil pressure gauge this afternoon.

Couldn't get the plug out for the "After Filter" oil pressure, so I compromised and picked up the "After Cooler" pressure instead. The gauge now shows the pressure drop across the two oil filters and the oil cooler combined.

I'll measure the drop across the cooler another day when I have D-man's filter kit installed. Most of the drop is probably across the filters anyway.

First reading after about 10 minutes at idle was 11 psi. The dash oil pressure gauge showed about 25 psi.

Cool gauge. You have a very full engine bay! Are you going to measure the average pressure difference with the stock filters too? It will help give a better perspective on the project.

Right, the original idea was to be able to monitor the oil filters. As usual with some of these gauges, once one knows the readings, they become less important, showing the same numbers over and over....

well the first 15 minutes is where the fun's at! Did you read the figures with D-man's kit?

Patrick, measuring the pressure drop across D-man's filter (1792XD) at first it reads about 9 psi, after oil is warmed to about 140 deg, the drop stays around 6 psi.
