Does bobbing a deuce gain feul economy?

I get the point. im sellin my Dodge dually and replacing it with the Deuce. as a Mechanical Engineer I am always looking to tweek and become more efficient. I live in an area where the roads dont get plowed and they stay nasty for weeks. I want the deuce for the utitlitarian factor just wondering if anyone thought outside the box. but I will drive the tires off of it and love it just the same.

1009 will have the 3.08 gears, 1008= 4.56 gears

if fuel milage is a concern don't buy a duece get 1008 with the gutless 3:08 gears

I can't vouch for an MPG improvement from lockouts BUT the improved driveability is worth every penny.
