Towerguy1's How to start in Low by mistake, But still look like a pro trick.....

Shift 1-5 as normal, Then return to 4th and shift transfer to High, then 5th again.

No one will ever know:D And you gained extra gears for those heavy loads. :D

I shift through the low range a lot. Trucks tend to be in low range anyways from backing in the barn. And it helps the heavy M108 get going. Also easier to use low range 2cd to start since it has synco's.

Anybody else here ever put your transfer in low, forget about it, then take off down the road and wonder why you can't get over 25mph in 5th?:?

I actually drove deuces in the Army, I must be gettin old,
ROFL! I usually figure it out when my M-37 won't go over about 1 MPH in first gear!

I had to go outside last night to figure out the loud buzzer sound in the driveway. I turned the ignition of in the 818 but not the master. Once the air got low enough for the buzzer.... well.... I ran outside! I thought someone was stealing the truck! DOH!!!aua
