Double Spring Seats?

I took my bench seat out today & will be putting a spring seat in its place.

Am I missing something, or do the holes NOT line up with the seat base?

What have you guys done to get 2 spring seats in your cab?

Mine has the spring seats. Looks a though they're mounted on an adapter plate. I can post or PM pics tomorrow.

the plate is for the drivers side. to mount it on the passenger side. take the measurements form the drivers side and flip them to the passenger side. drill the holes and bolt it down.

I just marked and drilled the spring seat bases on mine. The fronts were close to lining up but the backs were way off.

Did you just bolt them underneath the cab with a washer, lockwasher & nut?

done the same thing. Just drill the hole, and put a washer and locknut on underside.

Maybe too simple, am I getting this right? You are saying that if the bottom plate were welded to the seat upside down (flipped left to right) that the bolt holes would line up? Hmmm. Sounds like more work than it's worth but it'd make a very clean installation.

when you put a springer on the passenger side the two front holes line up. but there are no rear holes. you have to drill those out and use the biggest washer you can find for underneath. easy job. i did mine last week so i can mount my rt246 radio between them. PM me if you have any Q's, rob

Here is why I asked.....

I took the seats out of a Bronco II & made adapters so they would fit on spring seats bases. WOW are they comfortable! I need some seat covers now....

you leaving the driver seat stock? or you putting one of them on the driver to "match" looks like it be a little tight on the wheel.

Nope.....I am switching them both. The passenger seat can slide back farther...its not mounted yet.

Also.....I only weigh 165! So it will be an "anti theft" device! You cant steal what you cant drive
