drilling and counter sinking holes

Joel,
I have been thinking of recessing a grover air horn in the bumper on this 5 ton. I plan on making the hole just large enough for the rim of the horn to mount flush with the bumper, (like on the bumper horns on some of the newer fire apparatus). Has anybody done this and will this horn put too much demand on the air supply??

Joel, finished the locust boards today. I'm not terribly proud over the job, there are too many defects in the wood, locust is hard find without them, but I''ll look for replacements at a different sawmill from now until the boards are delivered.
