I was just wondering if this is the NEW URBAN SPEAK thay are teaching in schools now because Proper ENGLISH is NOT PC correct in certain areas :cookoo:
I say old Bean, I'm quite well versed in the King's English. However from time to time I do slip into the vernacular of the younger crowd. It does keep me "hip" and "with it" don't you know. :p

Shipping is smarter and safer, just not nearly as exciting and costs more.... Glen

I have been known on multiple occasions, to buy trucks and vehicles half way across the country, sight unseen, when there were perfectly good ones close by, JUST for the fun and excitement of getting to fly there, and see places I'd never seen before and drive it home:) So far I've been lucky, and it was nothing but fun.

Bought a Hyster 50 ton lowboy trailer attached to a Freightliner cabover in Michigan and flew out, and drove that home.

Bought a 2000 Powerstroke Ford Excursion in Salt Lake city Utah. Flew there and drove it home.

And bought a 2004 Peterbilt 387 with double bunk sleeper in Dallas Texas, and flew there and drove that home. That one was fun, because I had my own bed to sleep in along the way. ha ha

So if I knew there was good chance the MV I was buying was in running condition, I am the kind of guy that would jump all over flying there and driving it home, just for the fun of it. I'm the kind of guy, that if I buy something sight unseen, I understand that I am taking a risk, and if I get there and find out something is wrong, I don't freak out, I just accept the fact that that was the risk I was taking and deal with it. Just make sure you have plenty of money for emergency repairs and tow bills[thumbzup]

The master cylinder has a slow leak, and the lights are iffy. The wife is already miffed that I'm buying it, and putting a charge on the credit cards for a tow truck would really tick her off since we got those all paid off.

Ticking off the boss is not good

How far do you have to go. maybe the farmer will allow you to get yer new rig ship shape. I would have it tiled, licensed and insured and then go for it. File a flight plan and have a bunch of SS members ready to assist if need be and have fun!

Or maybe a contractor has a low boy and may go fetch your rig for a $1 or 2 a mile. a machinery dealer around here wanted $4 a loaded mile for a big roll back with a winch.

I had my A3 flatbedded 70 miles and the piece of mind was worth it. I won it in winter so .... fuel gelling... broken parts.... did it run correctly.... brakes functioning... tranany or engine up to the task....

SO :grd:
