Driving through Central America

I have a friend who did this on a motorcycle and if I remember correctly there is a endorsement you can obtain in conjunction with your passport and it is checked on entry and exit. This was to verify there was no purchase or sale, only tourism. He was gone for 3 months and had a great time.

This sounds like a fantastic trip. Thanks for the great information on traveling in Central America. I've been there some (Honduras, Belize) as well as some of the Caribbean islands, but it's excellent to hear first hand information on how the borders, etc work.
