I've found the size for a DT466E but not for one with the p pump. From flywheel housing to fan hub, how long is it if someone has one out laying around. One site says 42 other 45??

Near as I can tell, from the leading edge of the fan blade to the rear face of the block is about 43.5". That's not counting the bellhousing.

I assume you're trying to put a DT466 into a deuce? Please post any useful info you find! I'm planning to put one in my deuce if the multi dies. I see it talked about quite a bit, but I've never seen where it's actually ever been done.

so with flywheel housing it'll be about 45''. Same as LDT-465. Don't think a ATAAC will fit in front of radiator. Maybe if a electric fan was used that might free up an extra inch or so?

It would sure be tight to make a cooler fit. My thought was, since I wouldn't be cranking up the horsepower, it would probably be just fine without an aftercooler.

I'll try to take some more measurements when I have time, maybe this weekend.

The length isn't so much the problem. As long as you don't want to run an air to air intercooler, it'll fit.
The problem with the 466 swap in a deuce is the oil pan to axle clearance .

The 5 tons with the Mack engine has about 1 1/4 of the top frame flange cut out to move the engine over to the right to help miss the third member . The tip fan on the multifuel is lower then the top of the valve cover and there is not much room between the hood and the valve cover the lower the fan on the DT466 the better . These are just things I have to deal with.
