Dump bed on an m1008

I am in the process of installing a dump hoist on my m1008.Everything went fine until I tried to hook up the 12v electric pump. I know I have seen topics on getting 12v off the 24v system but I can't seem to get it to work. Can someone out there help a confused electrician. I spent a lot of time working on ac systems from 120v to 13,000v & now a 24v dc system is kicking my a--.By the way I am taking pictures & they will get posted as soon as my wife gets time to post them. Computers give me trouble too. Thanks in advance Beetle.

Hook everything for your pump directly to the front battery, and you should be fine....

you can ground anywhere on the frame (although direct to the front battery may be a better choice for a pump) Just be sure to pul power from teh positive on the front battery.
