We've run a load a foot overheight down the same route before. It was permitted, of course. No danger of clipping any lines.

On rural roads, hauling farm equipment, I've torn down several phone lines. I wasn't over height, the lines were too low.

I even once tore a power line down that was too low. Pulled the service off the house and the line landed right across the hood of a new Ford truck, fired all the electronics in the truck. The power company had to pay for all of it.
