Electric power steering for a Deuce

To me it looks like electric power steering ram for a Deuce?

Don't know if it be variable speed or is it just full throw at once.
I was just looking at the gold watch in picture 4.

Not a good idea. Not fail-safe. Those rams hold load when stopped, so if you lost power for any reason, you would not be able to overcome the ram.

I concur - not the right type of thing for steering. Maybe a power hood lift, or power pintle release, but not steering...

A thought, (for me anyway). My Renault Clio diesel has electric power steering. works fine.

Yup, Prius'es have electric power steering too, but this ain't it...

If those are like most electric actuators them get power move to limit switch and stop. Then they can get power to the other side and move back. They only stop at each end of the stroke and if power is lost

Roger that. I now have all my trucks on air power steering. (and engine pressure pre-prime oil pumps).
Parking is easy now, and the "noise" is quite satisfying. So is the lack of noise on start up come to think of it!
