I have been using a Lincoln weldpak 3200 I bought at Home Depot in 2001, I have welded steel from sheet to 1/2", multiple pass for anything thicker than 3/16" using .024 to .035 er70 wire and 75/25. 5 years ago I got a setup to weld aluminum using 4043 wire, switching to electrode negative and 98/02 gas. I still use this rig a lot but starting to look for a bigger welder.

Picked up a Hobart 140, looks spanking new, came with everything, ready to weld (including a tank 1/2 full of 75/25) $375. Happy as a clam!
