Extended high/low shifter

Has anyone built/made an extended shifter? My back cant handle the bend over to grab the lever when splitting gears.

I think I remember someone posting a modified lever but my memory is as short as my other equipment.

In my case, the accuracy of my memory is rivaled only by its brevity. In other words, I can remember everything precisely, but only for micro-seconds. Plus I never get lost; I just have a series of unplanned adventures...

I've made extended levers for "Split shifting" the 5 tons (M816 etc.) .......

Shirehorse, Feroequinologist, Patracy and some others have had these for a while.

I can adjust the geometry as you need - just need dims or a cardboard stencil of what you want.

Read your 5 ton post, Good thread. Will have to try my hand at lever building.

I'll send you a knob gratis if you have a 1/4 x 20 die or want to weld a 1/4 x 20 bolt to the end of the lever... I have a humungous box of them!

It's nice having a different size knob on the transfer lever so you can tell the difference without looking..

My thought would be to split the seat or notch it and bend the lever till it's straight up in high. Might get yah another 4-6" off the floor.
