Fan Clutch leaking

I have all the parts to replace Fan Clutch and hose, dug the procedure out of the manual yesterday, was surprised to see I have to pull the radiator and shroud according to TM. Figured I would ask if anybody has done this before and if I can get to the fan without pulling radiator. Appreciate any input Thanks

No need to pull the radiator, you're just gonna have to stick your arms through the fan blades to get to the bolts holding the clutch to the pulley. They are socket head cap screws, not sure on the size though.

If you have double jointed wrists, then you may be able to leave the rad stack in. Removing the rad stack seems like a big job to some but it not that bad. Plus you can flush out all of the crud between oil cooler and rad a internals of the rad too. Since the front of the engine is now exposed, you can replace all belts, damper, water pump, check for loose or broken brackets, etc.

what Ted said...in order to line up the 4 holes on the fan clutch still on the truck, you will need compressed air in the clutch unit...it sucks to do It in the truck. It can be done...but have patience and band aids.

I replaced my fan clutch by removing the radiator stack. After installing the new clutch and fan, I could not imagine doing the job without removing the radiator. I have disconnected and reconnected a new hose for the fan clutch without removing the radiator.

I think it is just the fitting leaking so I will replace that without taking off the stack- If it is the clutch- sounds like I will definitely be removing those items

No. Fluid was gathering in bottom of the fan shroud
