Fan cut-off switch rod

I'm in the process of putting everything back together after replacing my injection pump and I'm not sure how the rod from the pump to the fan cut-off switch is supposed to be connected. I can't find this piece in the TM, where is this supposed to go? Does anyone have a pic of how theirs is set up? This is on an m1123 6.5l, non-turbo.
