fan housing problem/water pump

ok i believe i need a new water pump i changed t-stat and still runs really hot around 200-235 also if you lok at pic i found a hole i didnt see before when i recovered the truck .. dont know how i missed it can anyone tell me if i change the water pump is that hole going to be a problem and what is that part called and would anyone have one for sale . or should i try looking at tmj , or any of those other surplus places thankyou...joe

Is there alot of water/coolant coming out of this hole when the engine is running?

looks like where the weep hole is but it shouldnt be that big. if it's leaking from there you need a water pump

thats it i dont have coolent comming out ..

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, it looks as though there is a big hole in the water pump. Have you checked the coolant level in the radiator?

my coolent level is full. i changed the t-stat. massive coolent flowage. at radior cap level went down when i did so.. refilled coolent started let run stopped and topped off coolent ran up street awhile temp still high. and coolent level still up no loss out hole.im thinking on getting new guage to see if its faulty but who knows..
