Okay guys, have done a lot of work on FARMVEE since last post. Main upgrade is the (removable) hydraulic bale spikes. Also a backup camera (so I can more easily stab the bales). A remote golight mounted on feeder and over cab for night time ops. Many other smaller upgrades like hard doors, toolbox, radio, full set of new(er) tires on 24 bolt wheels, etc…. Reworked cooling systems with a 160 thermostat and 180 fan engagement sensor (runs at an honest and consistent 180 now). Probably more I’ve forgotten. But, it’s become a workhorse on farm. Weighed it yesterday with hay and nearly full feeder and was just under 11,000#. Its data sticker shows 10,300#. So, I think I’m in the sweet spot as (90% of the time) I’ll be @ <8,000 and on the rare occasions I’m over 10,300 it’ll be short mileage and low speed.
perfect farm truck!!!!!
