I've been a member of the site for a few years and had the bug as long as I can remember. I've probably looked at 10-12 different trucks and almost pulled the trigger several times but always ended up talking myself out of it.
I narrowed down my wish list to an a2 winch truck. I also wanted a cargo bed but didn't want a 14' bed.
I almost bought a 925 and cut the bed, but ended up passing.
Six months ago I found a 932 a2 with a 10' bed that looked clean. I liked that it had a shorter wheelbase than the 925 too.
After talking with the owner we couldn't come to an agreement on the price so I passed again.
Fast forward to mid November and I'm trolling Craig's list again when I see its back up.
After talking with the owner again and begging my loving and very very patient with my knucklehead hobbies, I worked out a deal for the 932.
I drove 4hrs in a rental and it was better in person than in the pictures.
The drivers rear Schrader was busted so it wouldn't stay inflated. No biggie, I could plus or cap it for the ride home.
With that, I went for a test drive and was pretty pumped. Then... As we pulled back into the yard, the heater core let go. Again, not a huge deal-I could bypass it, but I decided to throw in the towel because this was would be my first truck and I really wasn't prepared for any major repairs.
With help from the team at TMGs we got it back with zero issues.
They did a great job servicing it and had it ready for delivery on my birthday last Wednesday. I got to drive it home and take the kids for rides.
So now it's on to reading through the TMs again and getting familiar with it. Oh and be prepared for a lot of posts with questions
