I bought a US Army Tank Command Automotive M101A2 and know the s/n L1034XX. How can I get the year and manu for a SF97? Not legible on plate. Thank you

If it’s not legible on the data plate, then it most likely will not be on the SF97.
The missing/not legible serial number information is usually stated up front, in the item description.
Makes it harder to export if it’s missing or impossible to read.
Have you called the auction company and asked if they show it in the files?

You could use your own S/N and stamp it into the aluminum data plate.
Can also buy a brand new data plate and stamp all the info onto it, including a unique serial number that you made up.
As long as it’s not a duplicate serial number of another trailer.

Check with your states DMV.
The DMV can also assign you a serial number for that trailer when you register it.

Post a pic of the data plates.

Someone from NJ will hopefully chime in.

I always stamp the serial numbers into the frame also.
Data plates too easy to remove.

I misread your original post.
You already know the make and s/n. Guess I need more sleep.

If you post most of the s/n, guys here can narrow it down very well.

My two are a year apart in manufacture, but completely different makers and s/n’s.
Both came from same army unit.

With the exception of the Data plate info, they are identical.
One had special brackets everywhere and a lot more bolt holes but that’s the exception.

My post might be confusing. U don't need the sleep. I only know the s/n. I saw another post here on approx. year for my s/n L1035xx which indicated 1990. The manufacturer I don't know and will make one up if I don't hear anything soon. Thanks again

Here are the manufacturers of my two M101A2’s.

Not sure how many different ones there are.

I no longer have access to the systems that I could answer your question. I'd recommend looking through previous VIN INFO THREADS and see if you can find one close. but it seems like you've already done some research, so I'd say you're GTG.
