I picked up my first MV this week. It's a M101 is good condition.
Even came with a top & spare tire.

The lights and harness are recent and use LED's for the tac lights.. I know it's 24V but does anyone know how I could adapt these to use 12v with a civi truck. I want to keep it as original as I can. For now Ill be towing it behind a 99 Tahoe..

Thanks,
CG..

If it were me, I might consider buying the receptacle that goes on the vehicle side from some place like Saturn Surplus and creating an adapter between the civilial and military wiring.
Like this one:

That way you don't have to butcher the wiring on the trailer. The trailer looks like it's in really good condition, and I'd hate to see you hack into the wiring. By the way, If memory serves me correctly, I think the LED lights may be able to run on 24 or 12 VDC. If you've already got LED lights, you may already be good to go. Can any one here verify this? If not, CGarbee can help you with getting the right bulb numbers for 12 volt conversion.

edit: maybe this will help. CGarbee gave this to me some time ago to help with my 12 volt conversion

Swap out the bulbs with 12v ones... and make a new pigtail.
That is what I did. I spiced into the wiring and have a 4 way flat and 12v bulbs when I want to use it with civilian trucks.

Welcome to SS! Where in Oklahoma are you from?

Thanks everyone for the help...

I had just assumed it could'nt be this easy..
I sawapped out the bulbs and built a custom pigtail and it works like a charm.

I removed the original pigtail without cutting anything and used some bullet connectors to connect the new one so I could put the original back on if I ever want to...

I think Im in trouble... Im gettin the itch to get a truck of some kind...
My wife wil be thrilled...

M1075, Im in Oklahoma City...

Welcome aboard from Sunny South Florida. The M101 is a great trailer to have. Works well with civy vehicles as well as your MVs. Are you a former Seabee? We have a goon number of Seabees here. Post up what batallion you were with. I'm building 2 truck from NMCB74

Welcome! That's a great looking trailer.

I love my M105, it has a cover on it and it's like having a mobile storage shed.
