I was talking to a guy the other day about my deuce and he said that when he was in the Service over in Europe they would throw a couple mothballs(the real ones,Napthaline) down the stack and while driving it would make a nice blue flame for about 3 or 4 minutes.Anyone else done this?

On a similar thought it would seem that using a old deuce cold starter heater injecting propane into the stack with the spark plug could make a nice flame thrower.

what's the flash point of propane? gasoline? I decided not to try it because I could not figure out how to handle the 'fuel' safely.

An old VW Rabbit injector pump with a spark plug was how we made a smoke screen injecting Diesel , flames injecting gas , into the tailpipes of my buddies Torino in H.S. You want something that does a fine spray, not a stream..seen people use a low volume electric fuel pump to do this and it put WAAAAY too much gas in for a flame shot, more like a flame thrower !!

OPCOM,
Yup, I'm safely putting the whole shebang in the passenger side Jerry can. Diesel fuel supply, manifold heater pump, manifold heater spark coil. Figure if the thing starts on fire I can kick the Jerry can with everything overboard!
Mil-Spec flame thrower stack... now where are those old M2A1-7 flame thrower blueprints. Anyone got a link? :driver:

I would not advise throwing anything down stacks of turbo trucks. Batteries? Who wants to have the loose crud floating around in an exhaust system? Super Puller semis have a LP nozzle and igniter at the top of their stacks for a light show. We use LP injection for power boost on my Cummins Dodge, and want to put it on the militarys when we find time. With turned up fuel, you get flame out the stack on these trucks anyway. Just don't stay on it too hard too long. Not visible in the daytime, though.
