Hello everyone I work for a geotechnical engineering company in Florida we have a flu 419 with a modified Diedrich D-25 drill rig mounted to the back. It was built by a previses mechanic and when I started almost 4 years ago I took over the maintenance on it. The D-25 is ran off the 419 hydraulic system so the 419 stays running all day, five to six days a week for the past 8 years. It is a work horse but with that much run time it has had its fair share of problems. Most of the time I can look in the TM's and figure out what's going on and how to fix it. I've already had to replace the engine once (replaced the clutch at the same time), multiple wiring/electrical issues, clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder, 4x4 shift cylinder , Awd pressure regulator, multiple air leaks, multiple oil leaks. Now the problem, last week it caught fire under the back of the cab they were able to put in out relatively quick but all the air lines for the 4wd were completely melted away in a 3 foot radius. I spent hours going through the TM I could not find a single diagram that had all the air lines and where they went. The best I could do is go to each individual part of the 4wd system in the TM and then do a semi educated guess on which line went where. Good news it holds air pressure the 4wd shift cylinder works , the hi/lo air shift works. Bad news I have no lockers. The 4wd works fine but the places this rig goes it needs the lockers. the main thing throwing me off is the 5/16" "vent " lines from the axles. I have drawn a diagram of how I have the air lines plumbed currently if anyone sees a problem or a mistake I made please let me know.
