Looks like I'll drop my tank and see if the sending "sock" filter is to blame for my loss f power. As I was readin the forum on sending unit replacements I found https://www.steelsoldiers.com/attachments/img_3721-jpg.301195/


But I found the following in the 34P TM: 3PAOZZ 11862 [Part number] 25004140 GAGE, CAS FLOW INCLUDES ITEM #41 UOC:209

I don't know if they are two different parts, in fact or just a printing error in the TM. I do see several threads/posts of members having parts shops correlate the 25004140 part number to a sender.

Does anyone know the answer here? Q: Is the sender likely needing replacement if the sock is clogged?

No you buy the sock only. It is just swedged on the pick up tube. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dfp-fs0177
