frame numbers

found this on the frame in the usual spot 0525 13577 any info on this ?

Looks like a run of the mill M35A2 type..The 0525 series is prevalent with a lot of trucks surplussed... The series started with 10001 and went well beyond your 13577. I do not have access to the production tables here, but it has been posted and others are more familiar with the quantities and dates than I....good luck with her...

Here's what I found:

Serial Number:52513577 Registration Number:4J37370 Year of Mfg:1970
Manufacturer:65909
Information was dated in 2004 and was a transfer in to this unit so they got rid of it fairly recently.
that's all I could find.

Frame number

Excuse my lack of knowledge but is the number you are talking about a different number than the vin number by the steering box? If so, where is it located. Thanks

I don't know how to post links to previous posts so here's what I copied and pasted. This shows where the numbers are at if you don't believe your dataplate on the dash is correct. It is in the deuce forum under deuce VIN dated Jan 11 2008.

The numbers on the data plate matches the frame number. I was just thinking that you (medlog) were able to come up with quite a bit of history based on the number that bugs had. I was wondering if it was a different number than the vin number. Can you come up with all that from just the vin? I have no idea of the history of the truck I have.

It helps if I have the vehicle type (ie M35A2 or M35A2w/w etc.) and registration number.
