Looks Awesome Dave! Could not be happier!!!!!!! Eventually I will find a new tailgate but I can see you did as good job as could be done on that as well. Doors absolutely look GREAT!!!!! Antenna mounts look great as well - like torpedo blisters on old battlewagons :). Will finish up seats and rails next week - they should really pop against OD paint. Many many thanks!!!!
One proud owner signing off!!!!

Thanks!

Yep, only thing it really needs is another tailgate. That one is Toast! I think they took turns beating it with a sledge hammer...but that's also the easiest to replace.

tires

Yep, they are BFG's TA's...the best IMHO.

I know Treadwright makes some VERY cost effective tires though.

Absolutely awesome work. That unit looks great.

Those stud guns remind me of the Indiana Jones movie where the pigmies are shooting their blowguns - hostile territory.

At least you know you are safe from pigmy attacks.

Great paint work as well along with your body work.

Done!

Ok, this puppy is done. I am happy with the truck considering what kind of shape the body was in when I got it. It's a nice truck and should provide the owner many years enjoyment.

Ok....who is next! :D

Hi Dave!!!!!

Looks fantastic!!!!!!!

Wish I could do the M1009 this year but budget won't permit - next year for sure.
I am still working on wood for seats and hope to get staining done by Wed.
Can't wait to pick "betsy" up and show her off. Will bring antennas with me
(for ride home) for "max cool factor" even without radios installed. :D

I will keep looking for a tailgate - too bad I was too slow (and cheap) on that catch on
EBay - should have bought - and then haggled on shipping.

Very Very pleased!!

Folks - if your in the VA, MD area - Dave is "the Boss" on tricking out your very own SS.

Many thanks till I see you in person.

Ed

Excellent work that truck looks great. I love black bumpers on these trucks
Wish i was closer but 7 hours isn't too bad lol.

Curious what your average cost is to refinish a truck?

Hi Thanks! The price really depends on what work you want done. Feel free to call and we can discuss the details. :D

Well the truck was picked up on Sunday and is now home!

My next job that was lined up for Sept. is a no go for now. So I have an open slot for anyone needing a restoration or paint job on there M1009, M1008, Deuce or any other military vehicle.
