Haha far more comfy. Crowded back there but cozy.

Went to the caverns this morning, walked through all the accessible paths. My camera doesn't do it justice. It is huge, and definitely worth exploring. The main cavern is easily accessed by elevator. I walked in through the natural entrance where the bats fly out of. More difficult path with lots of steep walking, but its worth it.

Currently in Roswell. Only issue with the truck is my parking brake cable has broken free of the clamp (handle end) and I can't find anywhere with a spare fuel filter, NAPA 3239. Not having issues, just want some spares.

Truck has sped up as well. It'll hit 60 without a problem and is happy at 55.

Stopped just south of Albuquerque NM for the night, staying by a Casino.

Was going to turn at Socorro, but the exit was closed and that tailwind was almost enough to push the truck down the road haha

Those pictures bring back memories. I drove once from Albuquerque through Chama and up to Pagosa Springs, CO. That is beautiful country!

Have fun and keep the pictures coming!

Seems like my speed issue was due to bad diesel that I picked up in Albuquerque. Back to running on oil again and 50mph when not having to work uphill.

Camping in the forest about 40 miles south of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Gonna process more of the waste oil in the morning, then head up there.

Me and my sweetie drove from Scottsdale up to the South Rim one day years ago, and I can still recall the overwhelming sense of total humbling awe at pulling up to the Canyon at the end of that ride (I-17, and Rte 180).

The Grand Canyon is one VERY BIG hole, I got to tell you. Hope you get the same thrill. Ever been there before?

What city is that in your first picture? I'm not remembering seeing that on our ride to the Rim.

That's Albuquerque. I thought about driving through to find the house that 'Heisenberg' had (TV series Breaking Bad).

I'm headed up 180 to the south rim, will be there tomorrow. I've been to the north rim once.

Today sucked with the driving until just before I got to Scottsdale Arizona. Unexpectedly freezing cold and top speed ranging from 35 (usually) to 40mph on interstate 40. About 15 miles out of Scottsdale I managed to burn through the bad diesel and made it to the oil mix, back up to 50mph.

Got a late start this morning, left the campsite at noon. The deuce loves running on the gear oil/engine/hydraulic fluid mix, but does not like to start on it.

Drove to the southern side of the Grand Canyon. The North side is pretty as well, traveled there on a previous trip.

From there I went north to Lake Powell. Camping here for tonight, and maybe go for a swim tomorrow then process more waste oil for fuel. Poor filtering pump.

Let us have some indication as to your problem ok, I would think there must be plenty of members following your trip, and hopefully near to where you are, Is that a fuel/mixture problem? and or filters? Keep us informed.
