Greetinngs from Illinois! Did they ever finish the restoration of the Malago or Torremelinos Cathedral? When I last saw it in 1971, they were still repair shell holes from the Spainish Civil War. At least a CUCV must be an odd vehicle in that part of spain. Did it come from a US unit or was it sent to the Spainish Government before it came to you? Check out Doghead's Starter relay modification before the truck ives you a nasty surprise..... A lot of guys on here have very good information on most of our military trucks, so ask and ye shall recieve!8)

Welcome from Alabama. Saddamsnightmare gives good information. Also read the stickies at the top of the cucv forum. Lots of good people on this site. I have a M1008 with M102 trailer. Also, my nephew is in Spain now, going to school. I was there in 1960 and 61 with the Navy.

Thanks. I have no idea what the restoration of the cathedral, because I'm from the year 76.
We have a very close American base in Rota (Cadiz) from there have come many Veiculos cucv in very good condition with very few millas. He read what I could but I write with a translator, and we are very efficient.
Saddamsnightmare the starter relay is what makes heating to boot?.

aspann in that part of Spain is studying your nephew?.

Greetings

Mey, my nephew is in Barcelona, but has visited Valencia, Montserrat, Madrid and also Paris, France. He really likes it. He has sent a lot of pictures. By the way, Valencia oranges are the best oranges in the world.

Barcelona is one of the largest cities in Spain, the good thing about Spain is that it is small and if you like driving in a day's cross from end to end.
Valencia oranges are the best known but not the best

buenos dias.....

i enjoy my m1008 very much.....

do u reenact ?

or r u just a military vehicle collector....?

I use my M1008 every day, but spends a lot.
I'm not a collector, I like the 4x4 and especially the Americans.
I have a Jeep cj7 injeccion corvette engine and wheels 39.5 "for off road, one of 79 for bronco v8 400 in restoration, three unimog 404, and some more junk for parts.

thanks for the welcome everyone. I have a question. when I go with my M1008 on motorways at 55 or 60 miles pirede suddenly all the strength and begins to be taking a lot of black smoke if I keep giving gas, and if I leave without losing speed as gas starts to work again. my question is whether it is normal?. as if cut Injector pump.
Greetings from Spain
