Have wheels off and going to take axle shaft off so that I can inspect the wheel cylinder and axle seal. This is being done because I have a leak on to the inner tire at this axle. What is the part number for the axle flange? One side is jacked up and I can't turn the wheel/hub, do I have to jack up both sides of the axle to get the wheel/hub to turn? Searched and found axle seal part numbers. Thx for any help.

Your one wheel off the ground is still connected the the rear axle and wheels thru the intermediate driveshaft. Like stated above you must either remove the axle shaft, or jack up both wheels on the same axle or both axles on the same side of the truck. Or remove the inter. driveshaft.

For brake, bearing, and seal work, I think it's a LOT easier to leave the wheels attached to the hub & brake drum assembly. Use either a wheel dolly or a greased board to slide the assembly off.

I agree. You can adjust the jack to keep the spindle centered in the hub.
I like to use several pieces of 1" pvc pipe, and a 2'x2' x 3/4" plywood to roll the wheelset off and on.
