Ok, to keep from mudding up the Behr paint code thread with my questions ...........
How come Forrest Green is listed in the thread as Home Depot 34086 instead of 34079 (called for in the TM) for Behr paint??? There has to be a color difference between the two of them or am I missing something here??? (fixn' to repaint my M151a2 in MERDC cammo this spring)
Thanks all,
Rabbit

Think I found my answer....34086 is much grayer compared to 34079. I saw where 34079 supposedly isn't listed in HD's computers but the gloss and semi might be (14079 or 24079) and then just tell the mixer to use a flat base instead of the gloss base.

Why not use Gillespie paint? It sprays on really great and all colors are a dead-on match for the military paint, CARC or otherwise. I sprayed my M151A2 with Forest Green since I was planning to do a complete MERDC camo job. I liked the solid forest green so much I forgot about continuing with the MERDC camo. Plus, I didn't want to spray everything, including the steering wheel and tires, etc.

Been there, done that with the Rapco/oil based enamel. Way to shiny for cammo and I got 10yrs outt'a the last time I sprayed it with oil base and altho it's pretty tough I never was happy with the sheen. 2014 top pic with fresh 34079 Rapco and 2024 bottom pic with 10yrs of trails and camping trips on it.
