I have a nice fuel leak from my type 80 fuel filter Base. The Haynes diesel manual sait the drain plug seals need to be replaced with a new style seal..

But the part is discontinued!<img src="emoticons/icon_smilie_bitchin.gif" alt="Bitchin">

Amy one know where to get some ,or even a new filter base?

Since I didnt need any of the sensors on the box filter base, I replaced it with a regular filter assembly off a dump truck. It has the "IN" and "OUT" fuel nipples and uses a screw on filter. Dont have any of the part #'s handy but Im sure just about any standard assembly from a diesel would work.

The sensors are a fuel temp sensor and a water in fuel sensor. The fuel temp sensor may be needed if you live up north where it gets very cold.
