Fuel Filter Unit help

I have a couple of civy fuel filter bases, and they, indeed, do have the pressure switch.
....and, yes, the WIF light does pull double duty as water-in-fuel indicator, and as clogged-filter indicator.

OK so i tightened both alternator belts to get rid of the squeaking whenever the glow plug relay popped in the mornings and since then i have not had any startup problems. No complaints from me but these two things shouldn't be related right?

your batts might not have had a full charge, the belts might have been slipping while the engine was running and you werent able to hear it.

i didnt have any problems with starter power, its just seemed to stutter as a fuel issue.

In the center of the STE fuel pressure switch there is a black rubber plug. Looks like a pool cue tip. Is that what leaks?

it leaks from between the sensor and the port on the metal housing that it plugs into.

www.oem-surplus.com has new filter housings for $50 (including filter), so if you dont want the hassel you can just replace the whole filter base.
