I know the Blazers get "20" mpg. This is for the fatties, the
M1008 and M1028 trucks. I need to do more research (driving)
and be consistent with fuel additives. Mine is dosed pretty heavy
with the WalMart 2 stroke motor oil. Rough starting point
is 14.8 mpg, tires are 285/75/16, drivetrain is bone stock.
Speed is 60 mph max, verified by "your speed is" trailers by
Sheriff's Dept in 2 locations. Pretty much flat road, and
200-400 pounds of junk in the back. So what is your MPG?
M1009 owners can report too, I don't want to discriminate,
we're all in this together. (Red Green reference)

We have covered this many times. There are even a couple of the threads at the bottom of the page.

15ish for pickups
20ish for the blazers

My M1009 gets 22 hwy, 17 city and 15 pulling a M101A2 trailer with cover. I run stock 31" tires and use 2 stroke oil additive.

Just averaged 13.5 mpg with the M1031 on a 1000 mile trek. Of course mine always gets to carry the oversized aluminum monkey on its back with the generator all the time. Fully freighted that isn't too bad considering the 37's.

I personally think an NV4500 swap would benefit everyone in power and mpg departments, the TH400 is simply a huge slug.

I daily drove my M1008 for about 2 months this summer highway and city driving and was averaging 16-17mpg running stock tires. I was happy since my old '74 k20 gasser was getting 10mpg when I used to have it.

Thanks guys! I just wanted a comparison, I knew it was getting
better mileage than my C20 did. I idle around a lot, let it warm up,
let it cool down, etc. Happy to be average
