on a 1028 what is the better way to get to the sock?
1) pull the tank
2) remove the bed

on many other trucks I have worked on to get access into the tank it is easy to just pull the bed and others it is pull the tank?
Whats the quickest for the cucv?

Make sure that you have a couple strong buddies to help remove the bed after it's unbolted and be careful not to bend the corners which are no more than sheet metal, I personally ,(if the inside of your tank is reasonably clean) would disconnect the main fuel line and apply a little bit of compressed air to blow the sock off the line, if you use clean fuel, and if you change your fuel filter on a regular schedule the sock shouldn't matter that much. Just my2cents saves a lot of rust/dirt in the face
