Fuel Tank Cap

I have a new fuel cap I was going to put on but its different than the original. It has a valve on the inside and the one thats on the truck now is a non vented cap, would that other cap work or not.

Yes, it will still work. But if you plan on doing some deep water xing, you might get water in the tank.

Got a picture? All deuce tanks are vented, so it must have been made for a different vehicle.

90° to where it seats then the cap vent is closed, turn it another90° to where the tab is loose then the cap is vented

Must be a new fording procedure for the M37..or not, its tank is vented also. Odd.

Yes the M-37 is tank is vented but just barely, there's a 1/8" ( OD ) vent tube that runs from the tank to the carb airhorn with about 20 bends along the route

Yes thats what my new cap looks like with that thing in te center, and my old deuce cap has NON VENTED on it.

So the cap that came with the truck may be the wrong cap anyway ? (non vented )
