Fuel tank filler screen

Hey gang! Ive searched my Tm's (field service too) and cannot find anything on the fuel filler "screen" to tank assembly method. Mines got a hole in it and the cap chain keeps getting caught AND the o ring leaks as well making a mess when 1/2 full and above.

So my q is .... is the screen to tank threads left or right handed? Thinking is left as if the cap if stuck on would not unscrew the screen from the tank sort of situation.

I know there is somewhere . . However being I have limited time between on/off military aircraft I can't devote a solid chunk of time searching. If someone had a quick experience in the matter then great. If not I don't eat to be a burden on you.

On my M939's, A0/A1 trucks it is a right hand thread. It will unscew from the tank. I used a NAPA filter wrench to unscrew mine. Think like big channellocks, but a filter wrench. Not the strap kind.
