Fuel Tank / Oil Cooler Interference

Working on getting an old MEP-701a generator up and running - only 18 hrs on its clock, but no fuel tank when I found it. I've found a tank designed for this unit but the oil cooler is interfering with installing the tank from the top. I can't see a way to get the tank in without major disassembly and am looking for wisdom of experience here. Thanks.

Its not that major to remove a panel or two on the ask kit. You will want to learn now anyway because sooner or later you will be working on the unit. even with 18hrs i would say sooner these units are pretty old. mine has 118 hours and doing the battery modification right now
