Gas Can Strap ?

I got me a new Gas Can Strap but really having trouble figuting out how it goes on the can holder.
The way it seems to want to go really does not look right?
I been looking for pictures but no luck.
Anyone know how it goes on? I called New Life but waiting for a call back.

Thanks for the pics, but that one doesnt look anything like mine.
I got mine from new life canvas. Its two peices of strap and one has a bucle type clamp on the end. I will try and send some pices.

YES, I have the old spring clip type and at least two, maybe three different of the over center type, none of which match MR.Gs picture, never thought about the different type of can straps until you mentioned it.

I have these straps, I was told they were for the back pack that holds ammo cans. But, if I can use it for my jerry can on my M135. How did you run it? Thnks,
